Singer R’Dioh presents Minha Inspiração, the first single from his new EP Sambas pra Ela, recorded in São Paulo. The project is a moving declaration to his mother, who loved listening to him sing sambas.

A Fusion of Cultures and Sounds
R’Dioh, real name Rodrigo De Oliveira, is a complete artist whose music embodies a vibrant, universal fusion. Born in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, he grew up in an artistic family: his father, Jésum Gabriel, is a former footballer, and his mother, Sandra Lucia, a former model and dancer.
In 1992, he moved to Paris and discovered dance by joining his mother’s troupe, while pursuing his dream of becoming a professional footballer. However, a knee injury in 1994 put an end to his sporting ambitions, prompting him to turn to music. Initially a percussionist, he soon evolved into a singer and songwriter.
R’Dioh draws its inspiration from legends such as Gilberto Gil, Michael Jackson, DJ Arafat, Seu Jorge, James Brown, Ismael Lo, Carlinhos Brown and Magic System. He skilfully blends Brazilian percussion, cavaquinho and African tribal rhythms with modern pop influences. This musical alchemy creates a unique, festive and deeply multicultural sound.
Returning to Paris in 2002, he performed on prestigious international stages, including the Samba-Festival in Coburg, Germany, Sambafest in Switzerland, Lavage de Madeleine in France and Pop in Djerba in Tunisia.
In addition to his musical career, R’Dioh has distinguished himself in other artistic fields such as film, advertising, dance and capoeira. This versatility testifies to his creativity and unwavering passion for the arts.
With his talent and infectious energy, R’Dioh builds a musical bridge between Africa, South America and Europe, and continues to conquer the hearts of music lovers around the world.
